Navigating Cultural Clashes: Rethinking Western Europe’s Immigration Focus
Western Europe’s immigration policies have increasingly focused on regions with deep historical conflicts, such as Africa and the Middle East. This approach has inadvertently led to heightened cultural clashes and the formation of isolated communities, often exacerbated by inadequate integration strategies. To foster greater cultural harmony, a shift towards a more diverse immigration policy, including countries with historical and cultural ties to Europe, is suggested. This could help mitigate the risk of cultural fragmentation and support a united, forward-looking societal development, particularly as the world faces new challenges like the rise of artificial intelligence.
