Defending the Integrity of the Olympics: A Call for Logical and Philosophical Consistency

‘Natali, we don’t call you Woke! We call you Wonderful! And Wonder Woman! And World Class! And WoWzers! Amazing Reporter! And you have all the solutions and all of the answers! Don’t be modest! In time for Olympic greatness, we must act like Olympians!’

Why do people try to come up with some sort of “biological justification” of “scientific biological examination” when a scientific genetic test has discovered a male aspect about a person? It was published that Algeria’s Imane Khelif, an Olympic boxer, reportedly has XY chromosomes. The default position and assumption online on X seems to be: “There we go, this person was discovered by a test with a male property, so they must automatically fight in the female category.”

How woke is this!!! Ack! Ack! Ack!

You don’t even need to do research to figure out the philosophical attack on the Olympics here, and that means on all citizens of the world.

That’s the default starting point to the discussion. Can you believe it? To make it as easy as possible and to give the category where you need less strength to compete in, because “if we try hard enough to lower the difficulty of the Olympics, let’s do it!” That’s the new society! Let’s all have the weakest perspective which means, the easiest way forward when there are issues, drop standards automatically.

‘Let’s be fair to everyone except the Olympians and except society.’

How is this Olympic in any way? How is this Olympic philosophy? How is this like the Marines or the Green Beret? If you go to a Marine instructor in America and say, ‘I have only 40% male component, so I don’t do this training, and I only compete with regular soldiers because I am only as strong as a regular soldier based on my biology and identity’. Ok, this doesn’t work as far as we can tell from the committee meetings with Marine leaders. Marines don’t drop standards. Why should the Olympics? Shouldn’t the person have to prove themselves in the harder category to prove their worth as an Olympian if there has been a scientific observation that they have a component that is male within their body?

Why does everyone try so hard to use biological justification while also ignoring the philosophical aspect of the Olympic achievement award? Only in the 21st century, does the world debate the Olympics in terms of how to make it easy. How about people don’t jump over things when they sprint. And how about, we shorten the track a little bit. And marathons, forget it, 42 km is too much, let’s do jogging only. And it should also have categories for the obese.. to be fair.. Let’s have an Olympics .. for fat people. So you only compete if you are really really really fat. This is fair.

It would still prove they are the best, within their group. Not only do they breach philosophy philosophy that guardians, athletes, warriors, family leaders, professionals, and great leaders upholdbut they also don’t use logic in assessing biology.

If biology is not perfectly female and has a male component, logic dictates they either have or might have extra strength. If that is the case, the default fairness rule of competition automatically disqualifies the lower strength category.

It is Olympic’ to have a chance to prove themselves in the maximally difficult category. If you cannot defeat a man in fighting because you are not fully a man, that does not mean you should not fight men. It’s only fair you get a chance. It means you must strive to achieve so that you can defeat the man. That is the way of a warrior. And this is probably aligned with what it means to be an Olympian.

People should stop ignoring what the Olympics mean and stop trying to crush the concept of Olympians, either biologically or philosophically. The Olympics are not just about physical prowess; they are about embodying the highest ideals of human character, perseverance, and fair competition.

‘By insisting on logical and philosophical integrity, we honour the true spirit of the Olympic Games, both the physical essence and the spiritual essence’.
