The Role of Sheriffs and the Disintegration of National Police Functions in Canada

Sheriffs and Public Safety: The Guardians of Our Communities

The current landscape of public safety reveals a critical reliance on sheriffs in the United States, who are often the last line of defense for citizens’ rights and safety. Sheriffs, typically elected officials, are accountable to the people in their counties, allowing them to respond effectively to community needs. Mike Glover’s guest Sheriff Mark Lamb highlighted how his role provides security and authority necessary to protect his community, particularly during times of national instability or government overreach. This level of local accountability is essential, especially when other law enforcement structures may fail or become compromised.

The Canadian Context: Minister Mike Ellis and Public Safety

In Canada, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Services, Mike Ellis, faces the challenge of ensuring public safety amidst the disintegration of national police functions. With the RCMP struggling, Ellis must take bold, independent actions to maintain security, reflecting a broader issue of national decay and the erosion of core pillars supporting the nation’s structure. In this context, Ellis emerges as a hero, holding the line and maintaining the integrity of police functions on life support. He embodies the role of a police officer on a mission, a captain of national public safety integrity.
Drawing a Parallel to the “Star Trek: Voyager” Episode titled “Caretaker”
In theStar Trek: Voyager episode titled “Caretaker,” the crew of the starship Voyager is transported to the far side of the galaxy while searching for a missing Maquis ship. The Ocampa, a race living on a desolate planet, depend entirely on the energy supplied by a mysterious entity known as the Caretaker. The planet’s surface is barren, and the Ocampa live underground in a city built and sustained by the Caretaker.
The Caretaker, an ancient being, once caused catastrophic damage to the Ocampa’s planet. In an effort to atone for his actions, he has spent centuries providing for the Ocampa, delivering energy and resources to their underground city. However, the Caretaker is dying and fears he will no longer be able to sustain the Ocampa. In his desperation, he has intensified the energy deliveries, much like increasing the intensity of national debt borrowing scale to unprecedented levels, to ensure short-term survival without considering long-term consequences.
As the Voyager crew interacts with the Caretaker and the Ocampa, they learn about the dire situation. The Caretaker’s increasing energy deliveries are a temporary measure, not a sustainable solution, and are only done because he is dying and needs to build up a stockpile of energy for the Ocampa when he is gone. The Ocampa, sheltered and dependent for generations, face an uncertain future without the Caretaker. Captain Janeway and her crew must decide whether to use the Caretaker’s array to return home, potentially abandoning the Ocampa, or to destroy the array to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands, leaving the Ocampa to fend for themselves.
This scenario mirrors Canada’s national debt management under Prime Minister Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland. Post-2008 and especially from 2015 to 2024, the government has been increasing national debt at an unprecedented rate that is accelerating in growth over time, distributing capital without fostering long-term sustainability and tangible productive professional upgrades to the country. Trudeau’s administration has spent $1.5 trillion on administrative charities with no productive output and another $1 trillion during the pandemic (over the last 9 years). This spending pattern mirrors the Caretaker’s desperate energy provision, but without the same altruistic intent.
‘Instead of investing in productive growth, Trudeau’s focus has been on immediate capital distribution to unknown entities for unknown tasks (no work tasks of value to society), benefiting non-productive sectors (administrative office sectors that produce no exports, and therefore no revenue for Canada) and paying for “overcompensation corruption” to public staff and external consultants.’
Further complicating the scenario is the significant influence of consulting firms like McKinsey & Company. McKinsey’s involvement in Canadian policy-making, through initiatives such as the Century Initiative, has led to radical demographic changes and economic mismanagement. Their strategies, driven by profit and globalist agendas, have contributed to Canada’s ballooning national debt and the erosion of public trust.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) and Century Initiative

The World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Century Initiative are notable players in shaping Canada’s future. The Century Initiative aims to increase Canada’s population to 100 million by 2100, primarily through mass immigration. This rapid and uncontrolled demographic shift threatens to overwhelm Canada’s infrastructure, leading to infrastructure collapse far faster than the projected 2045 to 2050 time frame that it is expected in western regions, leading to overcrowded cities
... (mega city dystopian sci-fi and AI monitored cities with no built in farm sustainability and built in land freedom due to non-resilient high density design), (slum cities)
… overwhelmed services, and a decline in quality of life and up to a 90% standard of living drop from 2020 to 2050.
The cultural upheaval from such shifts risks fracturing Canada’s social fabric and eroding its historical values and traditions, and wiping the remainder of its Canadian Christian cultural foundation from 52% level in 2021 to 0% level in the future
… (down from 90% levels across the 20th century, 87% in 1980 and 83% in 1990. The core foundation of Canada’s culture is being erased by top down policy transfer, and top down media network effects from mass media systems/networks.)
The WEF, with its globalist agenda, has influenced policies that promote open borders and mass migration. These policies, while presented under the guise of economic growth and diversity (but immigration is from 2 countries dominantly for a while now, not 195, so is not diversity), often result in significant social and economic strain on host countries. In Canada, this has manifested in increased pressure on public services, housing, and employment, contributing to societal fragmentation and economic disparity.

Economic and Cultural Impacts

McKinsey & Company, leveraging its position as a global consulting giant, has deeply influenced Canadian economic and immigration policies.
‘This was a policy direction right that was the right offered to citizen to shape national policy and vision, and it was taken away from the citizens.’
‘A social experiment on Canadian citizens involving unprecedented immigration levels, implemented without adequate savings and infrastructure, exceeding the standard operations of other G7 countries by 3 to 5 times.’
Their strategies prioritized corporate interests and globalist agendas over national sovereignty and citizen welfare. The economic model being imposed on Canada, driven by consultancy advice and unsustainable population growth targets, is a recipe for disaster.
  • Labour Market Saturation: Flooding the labour market with a surplus of workers without creating corresponding job opportunities will inevitably lead to high unemployment for Canadians (as they are second in line for the positions given a less resource demanding and more dependent and isolated newcomer to Canada), suppressed wages, and increased reliance on social welfare programs. As a result, up to 8.5 million adults between 15 to 64, don’t work and are considered not participating in the labour force (that went through K-12, College and University) AND there is an official 6.4% un-employemnt rating too.
  • Foreign Investment Flight: Perceived political instability and social unrest, driven by economic inequality and cultural clashes, will deter foreign investment, further hindering Canada’s economic growth. As a result, Canada’s stock market did not go up very much for a decade (traded sideways mostly), while the American market and the Tier 1 tech companies shot up to the sky the business economies of the Tier 1 tech economies, economies coincidentally that Canada once competed with pre- PMTrudeau, Chrystia Freeland and Steven Guilbeault.

  • National Debt Crisis: Canada’s already unsustainable national debt will skyrocket as the government struggles to provide basic services to a rapidly expanding population and as the government must borrow trillions (destroying the national currency and purchasing power in the process), to build millions of houses for newcomers, for placement into welfare scenarios. The consequences will be dire: inflation, higher taxes, and a declining standard of living for all, and very low family creation and/or births for Canadian citizens.

  • Betrayal of Public Trust: The opaque nature of McKinsey’s and Century Initiative’s involvement in government decision-making breeds distrust and cynicism. When policies appear to be crafted behind closed doors, serving the interests of a select few, Canadians lose faith in their democratic institutions.

Public Safety and National Security

The influx of diverse cultural groups, while enriching in principle, has created challenges to public safety that the government has failed to address. Law enforcement agencies are struggling to cope with the complexities of policing an increasingly diverse and fragmented society. Resources are stretched thin, response times are increased, and public trust and respect for law enforcement is decreased and eroded away.
  • Rising Crime and Social Unrest: Inadequate integration strategies, combined with economic hardship and social alienation, are fueling a rise in crime and social unrest. Cities across Canada then experience increasing violence, property crime, and a growing sense of insecurity.
  • Strained Law Enforcement: Law enforcement agencies are struggling to cope with the complexities of policing an increasingly diverse and fragmented society. Resources are stretched thin, response times are increased, and public trust and respect for law enforcement is decreased and eroded away.
  • The Rise of Cultural Enclaves: Instead of fostering a sense of shared Canadian identity, government policies are inadvertently creating isolated cultural enclaves where newcomers maintain their national allegiances and resist assimilation. This leads to a fragmentation of society, a decline in social cohesion, and increased potential for conflict.
Minister Ellis’s actions to maintain public safety represent an effort to reinforce the nation-state structure, allocating resources to fill gaps left by federal shortcomings. This effort exemplifies the type of capital that should have been invested in ensuring the availability of critical services, like the RCMP.
The narrative of the Ocampa and the Caretaker serves as a profound metaphor for Canada’s current economic and structural challenges. The Caretaker’s intention was to provide for the future, whereas Trudeau’s administration seems more focused on immediate gains, without considering long-term sustainability. Minister Ellis’s attempts to ensure public safety highlight the necessity for resilient, accountable systems, similar to the role of locally elected sheriffs in the U.S., who adapt and protect their communities effectively.

Conclusion: Reclaiming Control and Ensuring Resilience

The lessons from Star Trek: Voyager, the real-world challenges of consulting firms’ influence, and the efforts of leaders like Minister Ellis underscore a critical need for resilience, accountability, and sustainable policy-making. As Canada navigates its future, it must balance demographic growth with cultural preservation, economic stability, and robust public safety systems. Only through transparent governance, meaningful citizen engagement, and steadfast leadership can the nation ensure a prosperous and secure future for all its citizens. Minister Ellis stands as a hero in this narrative, holding the line and ensuring the integrity of police functions during these challenging times.

The Indomitable Will of the Warrior

The true essence of a warrior’s spirit is anchored in an unwavering adherence to truth and moral integrity, regardless of the consequences imposed by tyrants. This ethos is not merely about physical courage but embodies a deep commitment to upholding values that ensure the integrity of public service, leadership, and professional conduct.
In the realm of martial arts, and indeed in the life of a police captain, this spirit translates into a steadfast dedication to principles that define morality, character, and reason. These principles, learned from the hard lessons of history and the timeless wisdom of sacred texts like the Bible, form a comprehensive code of conduct. This code encompasses honour, justice, and an unflinching pursuit of truth, providing a guiding light in the darkest of times.
The indomitable spirit of a warrior is characterized by:
  • Adherence to Truth: Upholding the truth in all circumstances, regardless of the pressure to conform or the threats posed by those in power. This is the cornerstone of integrity and the foundation of trust in public service.
  • Moral Integrity: A commitment to ethical conduct, ensuring that every action taken is just and righteous. This involves making difficult choices that may not be popular but are necessary for the greater good.
  • Character and Reason: The cultivation of a strong moral character and sound reasoning abilities, allowing for wise and judicious decision-making. This is essential for leaders who must navigate complex and often perilous situations.
  • Historical Wisdom: Drawing from the vast repository of human experience and knowledge, understanding that true wisdom is timeless and must be preserved and applied to contemporary challenges.
  • Resilience and Honour: Demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity, maintaining honour and dignity even when confronted with seemingly insurmountable obstacles. This is the essence of a warrior’s resolve.
In Canada and America, this spirit of the warrior is carried forward by those who stand as guardians of society, such as the captains of the police. In their hands, the wisdom of the ages is championed and upheld, ensuring that justice, truth, and the moral fabric of society remain intact. They embody the indomitable spirit of the martial arts warriors of history and all warrior cultures from around the world who immigrated to Canada (Knights, Samurai, Indian Warriors, Patriots in America, Pioneers in Canada, Indigenous culture is held in spirit by the police, etc), serving as beacons of hope and resilience in times of uncertainty and strife and tyrants.
To adversaries who challenge this ethos, know that the resolve of those committed to these principles is unbreakable. The spirit of the warrior, grounded in truth and moral integrity, will always prevail, safeguarding the future of humanity and the principles that define our civilization. This is the path of the true warrior, a relentless pursuit of justice, honour, public safety and the flourishing of all.
Thanks Mike Ellis.
