In the far reaches of northern Canada, beneath the dance of the aurora borealis, lay a small town where the tales of old were deeply woven into the fabric of everyday life. In this town lived Director Valentin, the head of the Strategic Growth Team (SGT), a man whose childhood was marked by the chilling touch of a world grappling with climate change.

From a tender age of 5, schooled about climate change and about the beautiful landscapes of Canada, Valentin had privately learned of Pandora’s box, the mythic vessel of woes. It was a story that resonated with him, as he grew to witness a similar plight: the constant sacrifice of his fellow Canadians, who were also schooled on climate change. These were 60 courageous young Canadians who attempted to manifest their vision and plans for the 21st century into reality. Despite their resilience and will, they were bound by an unseen scarcity, an ethereal chain that kept prosperity just beyond reach. Dreams were dreamt, but rarely did they cross the chasm into reality. No institution, no initiative, no project, no business, no future or upgrade to Canada seemed attainable in the face of this relentless dearth of life force, energy, and resources. 35 years later, Canada’s “future” resembled the beginning of the last century more than it did to the start of a brand new era of technology and wonder. The future had not arrived, and a glass wall seemed to prevent all individuals from being able to shape a new reality similar to what people had envisioned in sci fi world, the positive science fiction stories that is.

35 years passed, and year after year, the climate change narrative remained unchallenged, until one starlit night, a revelation came to Valentin. The ancient Greeks spoke not only of Pandora and her box but also of the horn of plenty, the cornucopia, a symbol of inexhaustible bounty. Yet this part of the tale was forgotten, left behind in the shadowed corners of mythology. Valentin realized that Canada itself was like this mythical horn, brimming with untapped energy and resources, a latent force of nature waiting to be unleashed, with over 1400 mega-projects which remained dormant, but always at the ready, ready to launch instantly, to access limitless abundance for humanity.

With a heart swollen with newfound purpose, Director Valentin set forth a vision that would end the sacrifices of his people. He spoke to them of the cornucopia, a symbol not of inexhaustible resources and life energy, but of Canadian innovation, sustainable growth, the construction of a new reality resembling more of a space faring civilization than a primitive village organization, and the will to harness the latent energy that had long been dormant beneath Canada, the gift to the world of endless life resembling the sanctuary of peaceful life that Canada represents.

Valentin rallied his SGT, now redefined as the Shepherds of the Great Turnaround (SGT), and embarked on a mission to awaken the horn of abundance. Valentin and his team tirelessly worked to shift the narrative from scarcity to abundance, advocating for sustainable energy, encouraging technological innovation, and fostering a culture that believed in the prosperity of their collective future.

The Canadians, once bound by the invisible chains of scarcity, began to feel a surge of vitality. Dreams took form in reality; green technologies blossomed from coast to coast, decentralized Small Modular Reactors appeared everywhere, and this led to Canada being able to harness effectively the power of the wind, the sun, and the earth as well. The nation, rich in resources, life energy and spirit that always existed among the new generations, became a beacon of hope, a testament to the world that it was possible to rise, even if late, to live with life’s full vigour and make the full contribution to humanity our generation was destined to make. For the first time, enabled with this endless energy and abundance, Canadians real potential was revealed for the world to see and wonder once again a bout.

Valentin’s message resonated: “Better to be born and live, than live without life forever.” The flame of hope was lit, a flame that grew stronger with each passing day, promising to last forever, a guiding light for the world that believed darkness was all there was. This flame repelled the shadows from encompassing the world in a complete darkness, but reversed the shadow to the light, so that the entire world could once again see the power of aiming for the heavens.

And so, the tale of two boxes, one of woes and one of wonders, became the tale of a nation reborn. Canada became a symphony of progress and plenty, Alberta, the new Temple of Freedom for the world, the center of the sanctuary of life for humanity, a place where the horn of abundance sounds loud for all Canadians to hear, in unison with all of the heroes of Canada, the Conservative MPs, resonant notes across the land, closing Pandora’s Box, the box of woes, its evils kept at bay by the new light, a flame from Canada that would never go out.

@SkillsGapTrain It’s really nice how nice capitalist countries like Norway, use their nice energy exports and nice resource exports, to become wealthy with best in the world quality of life and then they have all this money to build great forests and make them three times bigger to solve climate change. Problem is.. Canada isn’t resource and energy wealthy like Norway.

‘Norway has significantly increased the size of its forests over the past century. Since World War II, the timber volume in Norwegian forests has tripled, growing from 300 million cubic meters in the mid-20th century to about 900 million cubic meters today (SpringerOpen).
