Erasing Heritage and Erasing People: The Battle for Canadian Identity in the Face of Firearms Legislation

The ongoing developments surrounding firearms legislation in Canada paint a troubling picture of deliberate efforts to reconfigure the cultural identity and foundational ethos tied to rural life, outdoor independence, farming, trucking, martial arts, preparedness, and traditional values.

At the heart of this controversy lies a critical struggle not just over property rights but over the essence of Canadian identity… a narrative deeply intertwined with shooting sports, hunting, and the pioneering spirit that has historically (157 years) connected citizens to the land and their cultural heritage.

Erasing Identity Through Urban Centralization

The ban on over 300 models of firearms by the Liberal government, including many commonly used in shooting sports, hunting, and rural activities, appears to reflect a broader agenda. This is not merely about regulating weapons for public safetyit is a calculated step toward marginalizing a way of life that stands in contrast to the push for “urban density”, “land gate-keeping”, and “zone compliance social score system”, “15 minute cities”, “smart cities”, with so-called “15-minute city” planning. Remember, they will focus you on the “city”,the lockdown”, “the camp”, “the shelter”.. …but NOT.. freedom.. or another way to say.. not to let you touch location outside the 0.2% of Canada’s land area that they allocated to Canadian citizens. Not a lot is it.

Wouldn’t you say it’s suspect?

Doesn’t sound like it’s Canadians in charge. They are not Canadians. We don’t believe it. It doesn’t fit as a model. We have good error detection on complex systems and models.

Ranges and rural lifestyles are at odds with a vision of a tightly controlled urban population.

The deliberate inconvenience placed on those who seek connection to Canada’s expansive rural landscapebe it through hunting, over-landing, or agricultural living is part of an attempt to sever ties with the historical freedoms these spaces represent.

These activities are more than hobbies; they are acts of cultural preservation, reminders of a past where independence and self-reliance were celebrated, not criminalized.

The Larger Consequences: Cultural and Moral Dystopia

The centralization of populations into urban zones risks more than just the loss of personal freedoms. When land access ceases to be part of everyday life for the majority, the cultural and spiritual fabric of a society changes.

Farmers, outdoor enthusiasts, and rural communities historically bring a sense of vitality, resilience, and joy that cannot be replicated in urban settings dominated by sterile policy constraints.

A dystopia emerges when more than 50% to 75% of a population (on a global basis), is urbanized, disconnected from the land that once provided sustenance not just physical but spiritual.

As land access dwindles, so does a society’s ability to nurture morality, character, and spirit. Without this anchor, a vacuum is created where authoritarian policies can flourish.

The ban on pistol-caliber carbines (PCC) highlights the government’s actual desire and plan, and provides people with an awareness that they did not stop at handguns, and the rifles they took, but after losing the democratic process and debate on Bill C-21, they came back to destroy the shooting sports as people had found a way to replace handguns with pistol calibre carbines to maintain the success of the sports.

This is what the firearm gets wrong. It’s not the firearm they are after, it’s after the activity and the person you an be.

They don’t want people to achieve their dream of being someone capable, a soldier, a leader, a real quality human being with valour or another way to say “not woke”.

They don’t want “superhero” humans who want a better life for themselves an set a good role model, to mentorship, and who have self respect and think of themselves as equal to MPs.

They don’t want people that can farm, drive trucks, shoot like Lucas Botkin, prepare like Canadian Prepper, or solve problems like engineers at superior level than the administrative leaders or fight capable like Joe Rogan MMA, or have powerful shows online that have “followers” of their own (so they do censorship).

It’s an attack on the potential of humanity to be capable like the heroes of movies. Which is why the woke attacked and destroyed all the Hollywood heroes as well. Hold PM Trudeau to account.

Lawyers as Guardians of Identity Lawyers and advocates must recognize their duty to protect not just individual rights but the collective identity embedded in the law.

The systematic targeting of firearms owners a group disproportionately comprised of rural and culturally traditional Canadians is an affront to civil liberties and property rights.

Class action lawsuits or constitutional challenges may be critical in ensuring that these voices are not silenced. The legal community has a responsibility to frame this issue not simply as a firearms matter but as a cultural battle for Canada’s future.

The Trudeau Government’s Tactics The Trudeau administration’s pattern of using firearms legislation to distract from political failures be it scandals, housing crises, or economic mismanagement is no secret.

This latest ban serves as both a wedge issue and a superficial attempt to shift public discourse. By framing legally owned firearms as“weapons of war,” the government perpetuates a false narrative that undermines the legitimacy of lawful gun owners while deflecting attention from systemic issues in crime and enforcement and vilifies and scapegoats millions of people.

The decision to send confiscated firearms to Ukraine, under the guise of aiding an ally, only fuels public resentment. This move, seen as symbolic rather than substantive, risks alienating Canadians who view their property rights as sacred and their cultural practices as integral to national identity.

The Path Forward: Resilience

We do not advocate for mass non compliance, but it might become a reality as Canadians grow increasingly disillusioned with a government that seems intent on erasing their heritage and their identity and sense of who they are and who they are allowed to be. Community solidarity and grassroots activism might end up being pivotal in countering these policies.

The firearms community, which has historically been law-abiding and responsible, is constantly placed into a bind by PM Trudeau, into a type of landscape where legality and morality are at odds. It is as if he is trying to test a portion of the population, to see if any fail his test, an to create failure scenarios for portions of the population. Who will be caught in his web? He is trying to catch people in a web to attack.

The fight to preserve rural life, cultural heritage, and individual freedoms extends beyond firearms… it is about ensuring that Canada does not drift into a dystopia where identity is dictated by urban bureaucracies and historical ties to the land are severed.

By anchoring identity in the principles of independence and self-reliance, Canadians can resist the homogenization of culture and the erosion of freedoms.

The Struggle to Preserve Shooting Sports: A Timeline of Resistance

Since the initial push to regulate firearms in 2020, the shooting sports community has faced relentless challenges, each aimed at eroding its foundations.

When handguns were restricted, many adapted by turning to PCCs as a legal alternative to sustain their passion for competition and camaraderie. The shooting community worked tirelessly to preserve their sports, finding creative ways to remain compliant with ever-changing regulations.

So did the manufacturers, who keep having to redesign their products like Black Creek Labs, Kodiak Defense, Lockhart Tactical .. and always struggle to evolve designs, because guess what.. PM Trudeau wants to stop the “engineering progress’. meaning to stop the innovation and technological progress and advancement of the species.. to stop growth.

Hence: the silly climate change idea since the 1970s.. that is far more primitive in 2024 than the debate in the 1970s on the same topic.

Despite their efforts, the government’s continual tightening of restrictions demonstrates a clear intent to eliminate shooting sports altogether. Promises that certain activities would remain untouched have been repeatedly broken, undermining trust.

Communities that invested time, money, and dedication into adapting their practices were met with new bans that rendered their sacrifices futile. It was a systematic effort to wear down their resilience and silence a way of life that stands in opposition to centralized control.

Conclusion

The firearms legislation is not an isolated policy it is a piece of a larger puzzle that seeks to reshape Canada’s identity.

Whether through legal action, cultural preservation, or political advocacy, Canadians must defend their heritage.

The stakes are clear: without concerted effort, the joy, resilience, and spirit tied to the land and its traditions will be replaced by a homogenized, controlled urban existence.

The shooting sports community, despite its ingenuity and dedication, shows us the sobering truth: even the most adaptive and resilient groups can be worn down if the intention to erase them is not underestimated.

Without vigilance, Canada risks losing not just a sport, but a fundamental part of the connection.. the holy spirit to the garden.. all around the world. that has given it positive life intent towards others.. an this has carried for all the centuries.. except now.

If we don’t protect our natural existence.. and life anchors outside the city.. “the capability enhancing activities at the ranges”, the “engineering people” and “the farmers and truckers”, we all lose and maybe enter dystopia.. and maybe die as well.

There are correlations that we sense that these type of people pivot society towards a utopia if allowed to exist as the have always existed. Engineering through “structured thinking propagation into society thought network effects” and farmers “provide the positive spiritual emotions joy, love, life, situational spirit and alertness, nourishment etc. .holy spirit, life spirit etc”..
